We were fortunate enough to find some time off and enjoy the wonderful northern woods of the BWCA. The BWCA is a network of waterways and bogs within a landscape that was glacially-carved roughly 10,000-12,000 years ago. It has some of the oldest rock formations in the world, including Greenstone near Ely that’s about 2.7 billion years old. Most of the landscape dates back to the Precambrian period about 46000 million years old. Also, not to mention it’s a world class fishery.
